Taylor D., MA, BA

Florida Atlantic University
University of Toronto

Born in California, and raised in south Florida, Taylor has attended both high school and university in the United States. Having received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University (2006), Taylor moved to Toronto in 2007 to complete his M.A. in Sociology at the University of Toronto.

Taylor has experience as a university teaching assistant in undergraduate Sociology and Criminology courses at the University of Toronto. He also serves as an assistant librarian at the Chemistry Library at the university.

Whether leading a discussion in a university lecture hall or helping high school students one-on-one, Taylor has always approached teaching in the same manner: with respect, admiration, excitement, and an open mind. In the PREPSKILLS® SAT preparation course, Taylor believes that to get students engaged in learning, the classroom needs to be a venue for open discussion. Improving a student’s SAT score, he believes, requires an open and frank discussion about conceptual understanding.
