PREPSKILLS Inc. fills a niche by providing preparation for the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) and other entrance exams. It’s mission is to translate preparation into opportunity.
The focus of PREPSKILLS® is to offer preparation venues for the SSAT and other admission tests that would provide a comprehensive, unique Canadian learning experience, encompassing both the classroom setting and technological resources. PREPSKILLS® is the only program in the world that offers such a unique and comprehensive skills-based experience. It was for these reasons that PREPSKILLS Inc. was founded – wanting to establish a tool to facilitate this difficult and important process for parents and students.
The unique strength of the program is based on the simple but crucial fact that students learn in different ways. The program’s SSAT courses are customized to meet the needs of students in Grade 5 to 9 preparing for admission to the school of their choice.
PREPSKILLS also offers UTS entrance exam preparation, CAT preparation and various others.
Upon commencement of the course, each child is given a computerized diagnostic evaluation. This will allow teachers to give attention to specific areas of need while keeping sharp the skills already acquired.
PREPSKILLS’ teachers are Ontario certified and a low pupil teacher ratio (6-1) allows them to focus on the students’ specific needs. Their thorough training and enthusiastic approach allows them to communicate effectively while instilling confidence and making the learning process fun.
Preparation for private school admission tests can be quite an overwhelming task. PREPSKILLS’ founder decided, therefore, to offer intense preparation courses of study, concentrating not only on the subject matter, but also on how to take the test. Courses are 26 hours in length. They are held throughout the GTA.
New this year is an interview and resume workshop. Students learn the skills needed to complete a resume and answer questions during the all-important interview.
Students feel confident and prepared when they take the SSAT and other entrance exams. Students are well prepared and develop confidence to help them rise to the challenge and achieve to the best of their ability.
