Richard holds a PhD from MIT and has an exceptional range of expertise as a physicist, mathematician, venture capital investor, and now a successful real estate investor. With his extensive knowledge and firsthand experience, Richard is committed to guiding students through the complex college application process and helping them secure admission to top-tier universities.

Richard Zhang Richard is a physicist, a mathematician, a venture capital investor, and now a real estate investor. He is currently the Co-Founder and General Partner of Ohome Equity Partners, a mission-driven real-estate investing firm that provides affordable and comfortable homes to tenants and homebuyers while bringing high returns to investors. Richard completed his PhD at MIT Mathematics under Prof. Gilbert Strang. During his PhD, he collaborated with Massachusetts General Hospital on using efficient ML algorithms to optimize hospital operations. He has published in high-impact journals such as Nature. Right after MIT, Richard also briefly worked at Pear VC as a venture capital investor (seed investor of DoorDash). Outside work, Richard volunteers to interview prospective MIT students on behalf of MIT. He’s interviewed 50+ high school applicants, 2 of whom got in so far:). He also enjoys a combination of swimming, high-intensity-interval-training, and mountain climbing. He lives with his partner in Cambridge, MA. Richard is an ordinary kid from Toronto with a big dream for the US. He was completely lost about the process of US college admission before meeting the PrepSkills team. His life’s passion is to help ambitious people succeed and get what they want in their professional and personal lives. |
