Marie Schwartz is the Founder & CEO of TeenLife.com, the leading discovery platform for teen-centered academic and experiential learning opportunities. These include summer and gap programs in the US and abroad as well as degree-awarding institutions such as private high schools and colleges.
Prior to founding TeenLife.com in 2008, Marie worked for McKinsey, American Express, Scudder Stevens & Clark, and Nelson Information. Her background in marketing and business development in the travel industry, together with her experience as a parent of teenage boys, inspired her to launch TeenLife.com. She is passionate about expanding teens’ horizons by engaging them in experiences that push them out of their comfort zone.
Marie is a US citizen who grew up in Germany, Belgium, and France and speaks three languages fluently. After graduating from the American School of Paris, she received a BSE from Princeton University, studied business at the University of Hamburg (as a DAAD scholarship recipient), and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. In addition to serving on the board of Summer Search Boston, a non-profit that provides summer experiences and group mentoring to underserved youth, she is a Trustee of Steep Rock Preservation, and Trustee Emeriti of the Boston Ballet.
