US Colleges? Passion NOT Perfection Gets YOU in…
Choosing a pathway in the United States for post-secondary education can be challenging.
Prepskills helps families navigate the US college pathway for students who are considering specialized programs, college athletics, performing arts and more!
As an educator for more than 25 years and Founder of Prepskills & US College Expo, Joanna Severino has had the pleasure of working with thousands of students exploring this journey.
We asked Joanna, what tips the balance of who gets in and who doesn’t?
“The key is to communicate your passions and your ability to impact others in a way that no one else can. You are UNIQUE. So how do you demonstrate this uniqueness? Our expert U.S. consultants at Prepskills enjoy working with students to draw out their unique gifts and talents in a way that supports the student narrative and impact.”
If you are in Grade 9 or 10, ask yourself what interests you and lights you up in a way that propels your creativity and eagerness to solve important problems in the world.
Do you have a Mentor? Coach? Expert Consultant who can guide you.
If you are in Grade 11 or entering Grade 12, you are likely pulling together some amazing essays and need the support of an expert who can help you craft a winning application.
Ultimately, find a way to be authentically YOU and have FUN with the process of navigating the admissions process and applying to college. Focus on your unique qualities
and remember that it’s not about perfection, but rather, exploring and articulating your passions and you’ll be far more likely to get the YES, you’re looking for.
U.S. colleges take a “Holistic” approach to admissions. Are you READY to be READY? LET’S GO!
