Virtual PrepConnect 2020!
Admissions Networking Event
We love sharing student success stories because we know that it helps other students and families who are venturing down the path of finding their future and making the many decisions that come along with that journey.
This success story is about student athlete, RJ Barrett who is a Toronto born basketball player and now plays for the New York Knicks. RJ attended St. Marcellinus Secondary School in Mississauga Ontario before transferring to Montverde Academy in Florida.
You can meet Admissions representatives from Montverde Academy at our Virtual PrepConnect event September 19, 2020. Montverde Academy is one of the many schools joining us September 19. We’ll be featuring some of the other schools in our upcoming newsletters. Registration is now open for families (free) for this virtual event.
You might be wondering…
… about the transition to private school
… what’s the process of going from being a Canadian student to attending an American private school or a US College or University?
… what do I need in terms of testing and preparation?
… how do you choose the right fit private schools and colleges/universities?
… what tests are required for Canadian students wanting to study in the US? Is this the same or different for student athletes?
If you answered YES to any of these questions (and I’m sure you have more), please join our Virtual PrepConnect event September 19, 2020 as we talk about all things standardized testing.
Here’s what we’ll be covering:
Entry into private school is not a simple matter of enrollment and paying the tuition. Many private schools require the child to successfully complete a standardized preparation test, such as the SSAT to gain admission. There are fundamental skills and facts that students need to master in order to do well on standardized tests.
At Virtual PrepConnect, you will learn about the different standardized tests, how to best prepare for the tests, understanding what the grading means and how it is utilized in the admissions process, how to prepare for admissions interviews, and the other aspects of a holistic application.
We’ll also be covering the importance of EQ (Emotional Intelligence) skills and how this relates to the admissions process and improving your chances of success on applications.
